IJM is proud to announce that its Austrian based operation has achieved the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) certification. The International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) has congratulated IJM for this significant accomplishment.
The foundation of IS-BAO is the development of a safety management system to assess the risks encountered in flight operations. It is modelled on the ISO 9000 family of standards. Validation of the entire process had to be completed by an independent audit. It was developed in 2003 by IBAC.
After an extensive preparation phase IJM has been audited by end of March for stage 1, and received after the post audit phase the certificate, issued 31st of May 2016, valid for 2 years. IJM intends to prepare for stage 2 as well, in order to meet the increasing safety standards.
IJM’s safety and flight department together with the whole management invested considerable time and effort to implement and prove this business aviation code of practice. In achieving this Milestone, IJM has joined the list of flight departments around the world that have implemented IS-BAO to manage the safety, security and efficiency of their operations.
„Safety is a corporate value of IJM and we believe in providing our employees and customers with a safe environment. All employees comply with our safety policy and the safety standards are met from all employees. It was an important and necessary measure for us, and I am rather pleased with the result. We will start immediately with the preparations for stage 2, we will keep up our safety standards and we will continue to improve them” says Felix Feller, CEO and founder of IJM.
Safety and Security has been for a long time a significant factor in Aviation and gains continuously on importance. International Jet Management has decided to secure the combined Wingman IS-BAO certificate to guaranty the highest standard for business, suppliers and clients.
